About Me

I’m Zeke. I’m a senior at Colorado State University, majoring in Computer Information Systems. I also lurk in the business college’s basement as a .NET web developer.

Origins

I lived my first thirteen years in Boulder, Colorado, then went to high school in Arizona. After enduring the desert heat, I hightailed it back to Colorado, matriculating to Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Fort Collins is a nice town, and I could see myself living and starting a family here in the semi-distant future, though I will likely move elsewhere instead.

Interests

I’m hugely into music of pretty much all kinds. I’m especially happy if an artist brings something new to the table either musically or lyrically. I’m ecstatic if someone does both. Right now I’m on a big blues kick. Here’s a short list of people who I’m into: (OK, it’s only short for me…)

Steve Kimock Band, Grateful Dead, The Beatles, The Who, Spearhead, Third Eye Blind, The Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, Santana, Yerba Buena, Something Corporate, Spyro Gyra, Traffic, Buena Vista Social Club, Ozomatli, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Collective Soul, Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Eric Clapton, Jerry Garcia Band, Green Day, Rodney Holmes, John Reuben, Bill Bruford, Earthworks, Buddy Rich, Charles Mingus, Chick Corea, Count Basie, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Duke Ellington, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Ron Carter, Five Iron Frenzy, Emery, U2, Relient K, Switchfoot, Jethro Tull, Jennifer Knapp, Snoop Dogg, Nickel Creek, Wendy Woo, Jack’s Mannequin, Louis Armstrong, John Mayer, Gym Class Heroes, Jimi Hendrix

I play the drums. I played in the symphonic band and drumline in high school, and right now I’m exploring new grooves on the drumset.

I’m also a computer nerd, as evidenced by probably this entire site. Usually I’m too busy to spend a ton of time on the things, though, so I wouldn’t describe myself as the kind of guy who spends his life programming Linux drivers out of his mom’s basement.

…and what about now?

Well, “now” is very relative. Let’s just say that you can get to know me better in person.
